I painted Yellow Dialogue to capture the lively energy and bright conversation found in a field of sunflowers. I used very thick acrylic paint and a palette knife to create a "sculptural" feel, where every petal stands out with its own texture and direction. I chose a bold mix of oranges, yellows, and deep greens to make the flowers feel like they are reaching out to one another in a warm, sunny space.
This work is about the "dialogue" that happens in nature—how these flowers follow the light and grow together in a vibrant community. By using heavy impasto strokes, I wanted to capture the physical weight and the "inner fire" of the sunflowers as they bloom. It is a celebration of growth, light, and the simple beauty of a summer day.
