I painted Where Our Paths Converge to show the beauty of traveling together and sharing a common journey. The painting shows a group of riders on horseback moving across an open field under a bright, warm sun. I used a thick impasto technique with a palette knife to give the sky, the ground, and the figures a lot of texture and life.
The warm oranges, earthy browns, and soft blues represent the natural landscape and the history of this heritage. By showing the riders from behind and spread across the field, I wanted to focus on how different people come together in the same space. This work is about community and connection, showing the quiet lines that bind our individual stories into one shared path.
