In the 1930's-1940's he created illustrator art for an Italian publisher known for romance novels. This oil painting on canvas of a beautiful woman in gypsy style attire seems ready made for a romance heroine. She an Italian beauty draped in an off-shoulder garment accessorized with a colorful scarf in her brunette tresses. It is a great combination of mid 20th century glam and retro kitsch all perfectly executed with a master artist's hand. Framed in wood with a velveteen mat and outfitted with wire for hanging.
Signed 'G Giovanetti' in the bottom right corner.

Good vintage condition with two small marks in the top left corner of the painting as shown in photograph 5 which might have been caused by tacks used in the framing. The velveteen mat shows some age and soiling though the wood frame is in nice condition.

The painting with frame measures 25" wide x 29" tall x 2.5" deep. The painting without frame measures 20.25" wide x 24.25" tall. See less
