These were the words of the founder. Mr. James Dixon, when thanking his workpeople for a Silver Epergne, presented to him on his seventieth birthday in 1842.
“ When I commenced business in 1806, it was with the determination : that nothing should go out of my hands, bearing my name, which could disgrace that name”.
For over 180 years James Dixon & Sons have been making beautiful cutlery, candlesticks, platters, entree dishes and others, you name it, that have adorned the well dressed tables, a symbol of good living for almost two centuries. Supplier to Garrard and Mappin & Webb etc.
Condition : New Factory original. Size : (Dinner Fork 8 in. 20 cm., & Dinner Knife,9 3⁄4 in. 25 cm. Dessert Spoon 7 1/8 in. 18 cm. & Dessert Fork 7 1⁄4 in. 18.5 cm., Coffee Spoon 6 1⁄2 in. 16.5 cm.).
Please Note: The Case/Chest is Free, New not Used, the exterior may be in poor condition for being in storage for almost 50 years.
