A fabulous flame mahogany console or hall table having a flat drawer front with ovolo corners, each corner featuring a romantically painted maiden. Remnants of a landscape remain within the center medallion. The base is large and open, supported by reeded columns with intricate pierced fretwork fans on each of the back panels. A painted grape vine motif decorates the outer edge of the back panels.
This unusual form is possibly french, circa 1900. Undoubtedly a custom piece, we have never seen another like it!
