It features hand-fitted wooden knuckle joints (finger hinges) that allow the swing gate-legs to slide out smoothly and sturdily support the leaves and stands on crisp square tapered legs that nod to Hepplewhite and Federal design.

The dense mahogany displays a striking, tight ribbon grain pattern with a rich, glowing amber-brown finish. Highly versatile and functional, it serves beautifully as a space-saving console or sofa table against a wall when closed, transforming instantly into a large dining center.
