The set … Read more An elegant set of eight dining chairs crafted in the California organic modern coastal style by McGuire artisans. The set comprising of two host armchairs and six side chairs. The chairs are constructed with a bamboo style rattan pole frame, finished in a rich lacquer, and tied together with hand-wrapped leather rawhide bindings. The chairs feature an airy Chinoiserie Asian-inspired silhouette consisting of tall backs with gently arched top rails and vertical spindle supports. The design is reminiscent of Chinese Ming officials hat chairs. The armchairs have gracefully curved open arms terminating in rounded rawhide-wrapped ends. The seats have been newly upholstered in a neutral cream woven stripe textile, offering a soft contrast to the natural rattan frames. The chairs blend Organic Modern, Chinoiserie, California Coastal, and tropical Palm Beach Regency influences, suitable for a variety of interiors. McGuire maker's plaque and original order tags are present underneath. The chairs are sturdy with solid joinery and construction. The rattan has a desirable aged patina as seen in photos. The measurements listed are for the armchairs. The side chairs measure 18" wide, 22.5" deep, and 37" tall. Sold as a set of eight. From an estate in the Napa Valley, California.
