Pabuji is depicted in the center of the large scroll painting and his various exploits are depicted on either side. The par is used as a backdrop for a devotional performance telling the life of Pabuji. The artists who painted this phad are also balledeers who sing Pabuji's story to village audiences at night by lantern light - unrolling the scroll paining as they narrate his exploits. See less
