The horse stands on an integral rectangular plinth with impressed dot border detailing, bearing the studio's circular impressed mark: Gli Etruschi / Italy / 79.

Gli Etruschi was one of the premier Italian studio pottery operations of the mid-20th century, with production almost entirely exported to the United States — making these pieces rare on the domestic Italian market and highly sought after by American MCM collectors.
