Authentic Northern Wei Dynasty carved stone Buddha head fragment, dating to the 4th-6th century AD. The sculpture displays the elongated facial features characteristic of of early Chinese Buddhist sculptures from the Northern Wei period.
Beautiful weathered surface with exceptional patina throughout. A rare and highly collectible example of early Buddhist stone carvings.
