Vintage Red Famille Rose Chinese Tea Set. Factory 10 Jingdezhen. Longevity 1970s. This gorgeous red and white tea pot, and two vases has four Chinese characters. Together they say " Wan Shou Wu Jiang" which translates to " Boundless Longevity" or more specifically " May you live for ten thousand years without boundary.
The number ten on the bottom of all of these indicate that this selection comes from one of the factories known as " Ten Great Porcelain Factories" . They were famous for their high quality handcrafted pieces from the mid 1950s-70s. This collection was especially made to be exported to Western markets. This selection was made in 1970-1985.
The slight turquois tint in the small vase was used by this factory to give the piece a fine finishing glaze.
