I … Read more Murano Ruby red glass decanter and 8 glass cups featuring 24k gold gilt and hand painted white enamel flowers. I bought this set as part of my collection from Murano factory in Venice in early 1990s and they have NEVER been used. They are kept in my cabinet all the time and they are in mint or unused condition. I was told by Murano personnel while I was visiting Murano factory watching glass making demonstrations that this type of decanter & glass cups were Murano’s famous “Tre Fuochi” that required 3 times oven firings to add each hand-painted layers of adding gold gilt & flower decoration to the glass. This type of Venetian Art Glass is known for its opulent and ornate decorative appeal. Since the entire set was made by hand including flowers decorations, all 8 cups were not identical. There could be small deviation from one cup to another. However, the entire set is in mint/unused condition. Decanter size: 11” x 4.5”, glass cup size: 3.5” x 2” each. See less
