The doll has an exceptionally slender silhouette, made from warm natural wood with a beautiful visible grain.

Dimensions: height 27.5 cm, diameter 6 cm.

The face is very subtly rendered, with fine eye lines, a small nose mark and a simple incised outline that suggests the hair and facial shape. The long, almost abstract body is defined with only a few quiet lines, allowing the natural wood grain to become an important part of the design.

At the lower back there is a small signature/inscription by the maker. The kokeshi likely dates from the 1960s.

In good vintage condition, with light signs of age and use consistent with its age.
