A 1960s vase table lamp. The structure consists of, from bottom to top, a circular, molded black wooden base and a globular, oriental-inspired vase-shaped body in white ceramic that culminates in the lamp holder. The square or nearly square white shade, with its delicate profile and black edges, curves, covering the bulb on one side and leaving it exposed on the other—a half-shade.
The lamp has been rewired and re-electrified, and the shades are modern, following the design of the originals.
