The chairs are in solid patinated oak and are by some named the "Odin chairs" after the main viking god Odin and are among the Henning Kjærnulf designs inspired by the old viking mythology in shape and carved decorations. They are a good example of Henning Kjærnulf’s brutalist style with his preference for raw and pure woods such as oak - a style Henning Kjærnulf used for many of his 1970s designs. The chairs have been fully restored and refinished by oor cabinetmakers carefully preserving the patina that chairs like these can only acheive over many years giving them a nice warm patina.
