It was painted by a dear friend of mine who lives in Charleston, and the whole design is inspired by the walks we take whenever I visit her. We wander through her downtown neighborhood, admiring overflowing window boxes and sneaking little peeks through the iron gates into those incredible historic secret gardens. There’s something so dreamy and romantic about the florals in that city and she captured it perfectly.

Every stem in this wall covering started as a hand-painted watercolor. She painted each bloom on its own and then arranged them together like the prettiest loose bouquet, full of movement and soft color, and that effortless charm Charleston does so well. The result is this lush, painterly floral that feels fresh and airy but still full of story.
