This piece is part of a collection of Persian Metal Work from the home of a former US Foreign Service Officer posted in Tehran in the 1950’s. It was a fixture in the house prior to American personnel assuming residence. It has been on display at the headquarters of an international organization in the Washington DC area from 2005-2018.
The rich, dark patina and quilted design make this vessel a stunning addition to a Persian Metal Work collection or as an outdoor planter.
