Exceptional piece of folk art and rare to find in wood. Likely c.1880s butcher shop sign to indicate that horse meat was sold there.

Totally beautiful. Would look fantastic in many different kinds of homes, in many different rooms. Plaque head is mounted to measures almost 15” tall x 8.5” wide. Horse head is almost 13” long, about 4” wide and the whole thing projects a little more than 10” off the wall.

This is an antique and has imperfections including the split to the left shoulder of the plaque that you can clearly see in the pictures, but remains a solid piece. See less
