Five Pieces ofAntique 19 th Century French Pewter Lidded Tankards. Wonderful twin acorn motif at thumb piece to open flat heart shaped lid. Possibly from the Picardy area of France. Very nice antique condition especially considering age and use and the soft nature of pewter. Normal wear , slight scratches. The tankards feature some irregular markings that appear to be stamped or engraved maker’s marks or initials. Overall, a charming composition of 5 pieces in descending sizes.
