Wonderfully carved with elongated necks below serene heads and upturned faces. The wood is dense and very glossy.

In profile, these forms become abstract resembling anthropomorphic tropical birds!

Our research has been unsuccessful in locating the origin of these unusual sculptures. There are similarities to works from the Makonde tribe, but we have not been able to confirm that.

The female form measures 14.25" tall, 2.75" wide, and 6.5" deep.
The male is 13.5" tall, 2.75" wide, and 5.25" deep.
