A delicate, expressive lithograph of a harlequin, rendered with a reduced linework, its lightness and movement creating an almost sketch-like dynamism. The figure is captured with a few deliberate strokes, conveying both playfulness and melancholy – a classic motif of clown and harlequin depictions, particularly prevalent in 20th-century modern printmaking. The work is hand-signed a. Hürlimann and numbered 161/200, indicating a limited edition. The pencil signature and edition number are clearly legible, confirming its provenance as an original print. The print itself displays a beautiful, slightly warm paper patina, further enhancing its character. Framed in a simple, dark frame with a passe-partout, the work presents the print with a calm and sophisticated air. A stamp from a zurich framer is found on the reverse, also suggesting an earlier, local framing. A decorative and collectible piece with an authentic studio feel – ideal for interiors related to art, theater, or classic graphic design.
condition: good used condition with age-related patina on the paper. Minor signs of wear on the frame, overall very well preserved.
