Noted on the back, the title of the piece is "The body dies, but the soul lives on" with Volk signed underneath. The backing paper had previously been removed to inspect the artwork, and then put back on.

Volk was considered the "Miro of the 80's" and his work is many museums, galleries and in both public and private collections. He was selected by the Cultural Society of Paris to participate in the biannual International exhibition in Paris, France where they honored him by selecting his artwork for the poster announcing the exhibition.

Abstract, vibrant and colorful - this piece depicts organic forms in a variety of bright colors with thick black outlines.

Includes original high-glass black frame.

I up picked this piece, along with several other original pieces by Volk, at a collector's estate auction here in Minneapolis.

Dimensions: 44.5"H x 37.5"W x 1.5"D in.

Excellent condition - minor wear to frame (surface scuffs minor scratches), artwork is without issue. See less
