A pair of Scandinavian mid century modern solid teak captain’s chairs / armchairs with tweed upholstery, designed by Johannes Andersen and produced by D-Scan c. 1980s.
The frames feature a clean, organic design with tapered legs and softly-rounded edges that lend a sense of timeless elegance. The absence of stretcher bars between the legs completes the minimalist aesthetic. Wide seats with curved, upholstered backs make for an exceptionally comfortable sit.
These frames are solid and show surface level wear commensurate with age and use. The upholstery is free from rips/tears and remains comfortable. Overall the chairs are in excellent vintage condition.
