Presented in an antique gilt Foster Brothers frame. Beautiful late-19th-century American landscape watercolor on paper by Henry W. Rice (1853–1934), known for his atmospheric New England scenes and seasonal landscapes.

I’ve always loved the atmosphere of the piece — the quiet New England cabin setting, the soft early spring tones, and the sense of calm it brings to a room. Henry W. Rice was known for his New England landscapes, and this work captures that late-19th-century regional character beautifully.

The painting remains in excellent condition and still retains its original period presentation, including the antique gilt frame and Foster Brothers label. See less
