Set of Four French Louis XVI-Style Balloon Back Dining Chairs. Listing includes 2 side chairs, 2 arm chairs. They are characterized by a distinctive hot air balloon-shaped backrest - or Montgolfiere. Made by Maison Jansen.
Chair frames are painted in a patina-ed cream with rouge and blue accents. Each chair details fluted and turned legs with rose medallions. The seats are upholstered in periwinkle blue Moire silk fabric with welt tubing trim.
Classic antique Directoire style of understated elegance. Perfect for both traditional and eclectic interiors, they bring timeless French style to dining rooms or formal seating area.
Maison Jansen was a Paris-based interior decoration office founded in 1880 by Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen.
