A ceramic decanter or bottle depicting a donkey as a politician from the Southern United States, produced and published by bourbon distiller Jim Beam in the USA in 1960.
This bottle comes from a special "political circus" series.
Indeed, the prize for political humor undoubtedly goes to the Jim Beam decanter collection:
This series, launched in 1956, features two decanters per presidential election year, each representing an animal symbolizing the Democratic Party (the donkey) and the Republican Party (the elephant), in various guises and situations.
In excellent condition. Rare with its original top hat.
Several other "donkey" decanter models by Jim Beam can be found in our shop: clown, ringmaster, American football player, etc.
