A beautiful console table crafted in richly figured walnut and topped with a striking black marble slab, circa 1820 crafted during the French Restauration period, bridging the refinement of Empire design with the softer lines that would define the Louis Philippe era. The piece features elegant scroll-form supports joined by a shaped stretcher base, embodying the understated sophistication and balanced proportions.
The warm walnut patina contrasts beautifully with the dark marble top, creating a timeless and versatile silhouette suited for an entryway, living room, or bedside. A single drawer provides discreet storage; while the original key is no longer present, the drawer slides open easily by pulling from beneath the drawer front.
An elegant example of 19th-century French craftsmanship with exceptional warmth and presence.
