An intimate contemporary oil painting exploring themes of transformation, fragility, and human connection through the symbolic presence of monarch butterflies. Painted with soft atmospheric color and expressive realism, the composition captures a quiet moment of reaching, release, and vulnerability.
Created in 2016, this early work reflects themes that would later emerge more fully in Kathleen Varadi’s “Neosublime” series, where nature, emotion, and environmental consciousness intersect.
Kathleen Varadi is a contemporary painter whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at Telfair Museums, Savannah Hilton Head International Airport Gallery, the New York Academy of Art residency program, and multiple juried contemporary art exhibitions throughout the United States.
