An elegant guéridon from the Empire period (c. 1810–1830), made in France or southern Germany. This round side table embodies the neoclassical design language of the Napoleonic era.
The round tabletop rests on three slender, cylindrical legs connected by a curved crossbar (triform base). A distinctive feature is the original brass fittings (bronzing) on the legs, which have developed a beautiful, authentic patina. The black lacquered block feet provide the table with stability and emphasize the architectural rigor of the Empire style.
Condition: The table is in good, ready-to-use condition. The surface shows signs of age (scratches, light water stains on the top), which, however, contribute to the charm of a piece of furniture over 200 years old. The brass fittings are original, and the construction is sound.
A stylish collector's item for lovers of neoclassical furniture. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
