A matched pair of solid cast bronze wall sconces combining French Second Empire decorative vocabulary with American Aesthetic Movement / Eastlake detailing — a hallmark of high-end Gilded Age interior furnishing. Each sconce features three sweeping acanthus arms terminating in shell bobeches, an elaborate shell and scroll backplate, and a distinctive segmented bracket with scallop-pattern panel, rosette crown, and custom interlaced monogram cast directly into the bronze — indicating a bespoke commission rather than a catalog piece. Natural aged bronze patina throughout. Currently wired and functioning.
