The design features cylindrical legs, a structured frame, and seat and back upholstered in ivory linen fabric. The cushions have been entirely refurbished to the exact proportions as the original.

Pierre Chapo (1927–1987) was a French designer and architect known for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design. In 1957, he and his wife, Nicole, founded Société Chapo, a workshop and gallery showcasing his furniture alongside ceramics, textiles, and works by other designers.
Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, and the Bauhaus, Chapo emphasized the relationship between material, form, and function. He favored solid elmwood and often used the golden ratio to guide his designs, creating sculptural furniture defined by strong lines, natural materials, and timeless proportions. See less
