The front opens with four drawers in the lower section and a drop-front concealing a writing surface.

The front is punctuated by wide, molded panels with a flowing design, adorned with finely chased bronze keyhole escutcheons. The slightly projecting uprights and plinth base give the piece a restrained and balanced appearance.

The drop-front reveals a refined interior in light wood (burl), comprising small side drawers and a central niche. The writing surface is covered in leather (old, with signs of wear), offering a functional and elegant surface. The hardware and opening mechanism are original.

Beautiful, deep patina, warm grain, and remarkable craftsmanship.

French work from the 19th century, in the Louis XIV/Regency style.
