jean paul guinegault (1918-2009) was born in paris, the city where he trained as an artist and which profoundly influenced his pictorial language. Active throughout much of the 20th century, guinegault worked in a rich and dynamic cultural context, marked by the legacy of impressionism, post-impressionism, and modern french figurative painting.

he trained with rené jaudon and louis roger, as well as his father, georges guinegault.

he participated in numerous exhibitions and became a member of the "salon des artistes français" and the "salon des indépendants."

some of this painter's works are found in the museums of arcachon, brussels, and rochefort. A posimpressionist painter.
