A rare and iconic ‘Rimorchiatore’ table lamp, designed by the Italian designer Gae Aulenti. A true collector’s item with a sculptural design, featuring a lacquered metal base and coloured glass in a combination of vibrant, graphic hues.
In excellent overall condition and in perfect working order. It is a multifunctional lamp: It combines lighting with accessories (a vase for flowers, an ashtray or a tray for small items). The double metal push-button switch enhances its industrial and retro-futuristic style. The geometric shapes are reminiscent of the profile of a naval tugboat, a symbol of 1960s industrial design.
