Reclaimed wood- rail road ties I believe and this is a very, very heavy piece! As you can see in the close up, a bit of candle wax is on the headboard as well as a water mark. There is also a slight curve to the facade of the underneath drawers on the right side though it was like this upon purchase and it does not affect the functioning. Close up of this is attached.
