A rare and intimate work by one of California’s most celebrated sculptors, made just two years before Graham’s landmark Olympic Gateway transformed the 1984 Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and cemented his place in American art history. His monumental bronzes grace the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C., the Duke Ellington Memorial in Central Park, and the Great Bronze Doors of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. He was married to Academy Award-winning actress Anjelica Huston until his death in 2008.
