The … Read more The Model 4853 sofa was designed by the master of modern minimalism, Børge Mogensen, for Tage Kristensen in 1953. The runner-shaped legs, placed under the sofa frame, are positioned so that the sofa appears to float, and its own shadow, cast by the sofa, makes the legs less visible. The oak legs have been cleansed of their old surface and finished with an oak-colored wax. All this rests on a strong, heavy frame containing springs. The furniture has been reupholstered, with the interior upholstery replaced and upholstered in a high-quality light gray fabric.
