Incised signature under the base. Jacques Blin (1920–1995) is one of the leading figures of 20th-century French ceramics. He developed an immediately recognizable style: celadon and blue-black flatware, and animal and plant motifs finely incised into the clay. His works, long kept private, are now enjoying increasing popularity on the international market for mid-century decorative arts. He was also president of the Salon des Ateliers d'Art de France.
