1970s coffee table with a walnut burl top and metal base, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto.
The "Artona" coffee table, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto in the 1970s, is an expression of the most sophisticated Italian design. The walnut burl top, with its rich, deep grain, reflects the cabinetmaking tradition reinterpreted in a modern key. The central base in black lacquered metal introduces a graphic and sculptural contrast, a distinctive feature of the series. Made by Maxalto, a premium brand of the B&B Italia group. Good condition.
