Mid-century Danish ceramic table lamp by Hans Still for the ceramic workshop Axella. Made circa 1970s.
The lamp base is made with chamotte which gives structure to the clay. The neck is glazed with semi-transparent beach sand colored satin glaze. The square base is partly left unglazed partly decorated with a geometric pattern in white, black and brown colors.
Included is a new lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
Very good vintage condition.

Height incl. lampshade: 65 cm
Diameter lampshade: 36 cm
Height with socket: 48.5 cm
Height without socket (ceramic part only): 42.5 cm
Base: 16 x 16 cm
Bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting.
