The chairs have strong geometric lines, a high architectural backrest, and a solid, well-balanced look. The design combines the more expressive character of the Amsterdam School with the restrained geometry of the Hague School, both rooted in Dutch early 20th-century craftsmanship.

The frames are made of solid wood with a dark stained finish and black-toned accents. The seats retain their original spring construction and have been reupholstered at a later date in black corduroy, finished with black decorative trim.

Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Solid and sturdy overall. Minor surface wear and age-related marks to the wood. The seats retain their original spring construction and have been reupholstered at a later date in black corduroy. The upholstery on the left side of the back of the seat of one chair is not neatly finished (see last photo).
