A louis xv style footstool with six cabriole legs, sculpted and ending in the characteristic volutes of this style.
the dark-stained wooden frieze is adorned with rocaille carvings and floral motifs. The seat is upholstered in emerald green damask fabric with laurel wreath and small flower patterns, edged with a braided gold trim. The interior retains its traditional padding of interwoven jute webbing, attesting to its original craftsmanship. A label from a parisian art carrier is affixed under the seat. Visible wear on the fabric and trim. Cleaning and trim repairs are recommended. Original frame. Dimensions: h. 20 cm – w. 20 cm – weight: 5 kg.
