the desk comprises a top drawer adorned with chased bronze mounts in a rocaille motif, a central drop-front (50 cm) fitted with a beige leather writing surface bordered by a gilt frieze, and three lower drawers equipped with bronze handles and rosettes. The interior of the drop-front features compartments with cut-out curves and small drawers with bronze handles. The desk rests on cabriole legs typical of the period, terminating in chased bronze sabots. The secondary structure of the drawers is made of oak, indicative of traditional provincial craftsmanship. Original lock and key, in working order.

workshop report: visible wear on the top (scratches, wax loss); leather on the drop-front is deteriorated and should be replaced or restored. Cleaning and rewaxing recommended.
