The subject features softly modeled facial features and a downward gaze, with hair gathered into a bun and adorned with sculpted leaves and small birds. Original painted finish includes warm flesh tones, gilt highlights to the hair and ornament, and a muted silver-toned draped garment at the shoulder. The composition reflects early 20th century academic reproductions of classical themes, emphasizing symbolic natural elements associated with poetry and the arts. See less
