Polished diabase sculpture created by Robert Neuhauser in Switzerland, circa mid-1980s.
Composed of two elongated elements with rounded ends, the piece unfolds horizontally. Their arrangement highlights the relationship between the two volumes and their balance.
The polished surface reveals deep, dark hues, characteristic of diabase, which complement the softness of the lines.
It belongs to the body of stone sculptures presented by the artist in the late 1980s, notably at the exhibition Arbeiten in Stein at the Sigristenkeller Gallery in Bülach in 1989.
