Oil on canvas, first canvas, artwork depicting a woodland landscape with a river, "Dawn in the Woods," of good pictorial quality. The painting, which extends vertically, is of beautiful size and proportion, adorned with a carved and gilded wooden frame with a velvet mat, showing some signs of wear (see photo). Signed lower right: H. Marko (see photo), attributed to the painter Henry Marko (1855-1921). Additional documentation is missing.

The painting features warm tones, with the painter skilfully using the orange color on the tree trunks to indicate to the viewer the time of day he is depicting (see photo). This painting is part of a pair (the second painting is sold separately; ask for the price of the pair, if available). The artwork has a beautiful patina with some small signs of aging.
