Up for sale is a rare antique 1905 hand engraved pewter college trophy for the University of Pennsylvania.
This lovely lidded stein style award has a beautiful form and has acquired a nice patina from age.
The face of the trophy is beautifully engraved by hand reading.....
"UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
CLASS EIGHTS
OCTOBER 26TH 1905
WON BY COLLEGE 1908".
It has a glass bottom and engraved on the lid ...."Richard M Philler". It is made by Manning Bowman, is in great condition, and measures 6 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide.
