Vintage Mid-Century Modern chairs characterized by their distinctive tall, exaggerated oval "atomic" backrests.
While the specific set in your image features cane-woven backrests and white vinyl or fabric upholstered seats, they strongly resemble the "exaggerated back" style produced by Stakmore during the 1960s.
Great vintage mid century modern Stakmore folding chair! I came across this and just had to rescue it! The chair is fairly sturdy and has a turquoise upholstered seat in good condition, although there is some staining due to use. The frame of the chair is brown and the back is caned and in good condition with a few missing spots. I have tried to show details in my photos, but sometimes a few more can help-please let me know and I will send more. The chairs measures 39" high, 17" wide and 16" deep when open. Seat height is 17". Size of the box for shipping will be 42" x 20" x 12".
