Crafted circa 1880, these impressive chairs show off the timeless grandeur of 19th-century France and once graced the interior of a historic château in the Loire Valley, where there were discovered in 2025.
The hand-carved craftsmanship is truly exceptional — from the bold lion carvings to the intricate turned legs and finials, every inch of these chairs speaks of artistry and prestige. The seats and backs are upholstered in supple brown leather, aged beautifully with time.
Chair 1: the under-seat backing has been replaced, ensuring durability, while the rest of the piece remains entirely original.
Chair 2: the under seat backing needs to be replaced, the rest remains in a very good condition.
Chair 3: the under seat backing need to be replaced as well as webbed seat foundation. The wood and leather remain in a very good condition. The chair is very sturdy.

These are heavy, sturdy, and finely made chairs that capture the spirit of old-world France.
