Each candlestick is individually hand forged using a traditional blacksmithing techniques - heated in a coal fire, then hammered and shaped on an anvil. No two pieces from Belltrees Forge are ever identical, making this pair a genuinely unique find. The "Signature" of the blacksmith is evident in the unique hammer marks and the fluid, organic lines of the spiral "ram horn" base. The tall, conical "flute" cups are designed to hold standard taper candles, creating a bold architectural statement.

Each piece is stamped with the official Belltrees Forge touchmark on the underside of the base, authenticating their artisan origin.

Theses candlesticks carry a particularly beautiful provenance - acquired by Ian and Hilary Inglis, proprietors of The Antique Market in Edinburgh during the 1970s. Offered now for the first time from The Inglis Collection.
Excellent vintage/pre-owned condition. The iron has a beautiful, natural burnished patina. (Note: These have been professionally cleaned of all previous wax residue). See less
